My head is still trying to recoup after taking both C and E for the first time...
Dean Howell Comment by Dean Howell on June 8, 2010 at 7:20pm
I took section C. My plan was to get through the test on my trace without putting it on the test sheets. Get them worked out and leave the labeling and all that for the end. I thought it was a good plan since I got through it with a few hours to spare. I checked them over and then started putting them from my trace onto the sheets. With about an hour to go, I realized I had made a critical error in a problem that asked for 2 different solutions. I had to erase the entire page (both solutions had this error) and start over......ugh. It just happened that this was the most time intensive problem. I finished but it was really rough. I don't think I'll pass. soooo ...lesson learned. Check and double check before committing and then, of course leave yourself enough time to draft it all out.

Once upon a time, the reference manual had symbols for plants used in planting plan vignettes. These disappeared in 2006. I suspect this is what you may be referring to.

Susannah,

One vignette solution showed a swale constructed entirely in fill adjacent to a road. There was clearly no need for a swale given the existing topo depicted. They also showed a swale drawn as a half-circle. That's ridiculous. A half circle would have side slopes varying from 0% to 100%.

Why do you say that?
Ray Freeman Comment by Ray Freeman on May 21, 2010 at 4:25pm
I've looked at SOME of the Section E material from Shake-n-Bake.
It was pretty bad.

I have used the Section C material. It's pretty good.

Has anyone used this company for study materials?

Just want to make sure they are legit before I give them any money.
