Can anyone point me to interesting, small to mid-size design studios in HK, and Singapore?

The HKILA has a list of firms in HK but quite frankly, it isn't that interesting, or extensive.

Well, I would not to be pessimistic, but the market is very tight since a few months. Since when do you search for a job ?
Here my experience : I search for a job since mid august 2008 (72 applications now, and the half in Singapore and China, HK).I graduated from 2 universities, one in France, another in Germany (double degree), I have a master, 6 internships...
If you want to find something in Asia, you have to be there, with a lot of experience (at least 3 or 5 years) and speak chinese... In landscape architecture, the firms want to have excellent designer (3D...)
Good luck !

thanks for all of the advice. i'm not applying specifically for jobs right now. i'm currently employed in NYC, but am thinking long term and want to do some research on these places and find some cool firms. work is getting slow in NY and it seems as if I need to come up with some alternative plans if the market continues to weaken. i appreciate the advice!

good luck with your search...

Hello Laure and Martin,

It seems that my reply is one year late but I still want to tell you of our company Cicada. We are a landscape design firm that does a lot of modern landscapes in many parts of Asia. We are based in Singapore but many of the landscape architects come from different parts of the world.

If you get interested, do check the website, www.cicada.com.sg

Goodluck to you guys!

Gabriel
